When you book me: the information needed to prepare and perform our contract, such as names, postal address, contact details, timings and locations of the day, payment and invoicing details, and our correspondence.

During the shoot: photographs and video footage of you, your family and your guests.

When you browse this website: technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the page you came from, collected through cookies (see section 5).

3. Why I use your data and on what legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote: at your request, before entering into a contract.

  • To prepare, photograph or film, edit and deliver your wedding or event: performance of our contract.

  • To issue invoices and keep accounting records: legal obligation.

  • To show selected images in my portfolio, blog or social media: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

  • To measure website traffic with analytics cookies: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

I never sell your personal data and I do not use it for automated decision-making.

4. Who I share it with

I only share your data with trusted providers who help me run my business, and only as needed:

  • Squarespace: website hosting, contact form, private client galleries and website analytics.

  • Google: email (Gmail) and file storage used to communicate and deliver your images.

  • Adobe Fonts: displaying the fonts used on this website.

  • My accountant and public authorities, where required by law.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case, they rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Cookies

This website uses essential cookies, which are needed for it to work securely and are always active. Analytics and performance cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of the page.

6. How long I keep your data

I keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above: to answer your enquiry, perform our contract and meet my legal and accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed. You can ask me at any time to delete your data or your images, unless I am legally required to keep them.

7. Your photos

Your private gallery is password protected and is not indexed by search engines. I will only publish images of you in my portfolio, blog or social media with your consent. If you would like an image removed, just let me know and I will remove it.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email emidurandphotography@gmail.com. I will reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie.
